After you download
1. Install OPAL
Run the installer (Windows/macOS) or drop the AppImage somewhere you keep apps (Linux). Takes ~30 seconds.
2. Install an engine
Open OPAL. The first-run wizard offers the latest O3DE release. Pick it — or pick any older version — and OPAL downloads and registers it.
3. Start building
Create a new project, or import an existing one. Hit Launch. You’re in the Editor.

Any x64 CPU from the last ~8 years.
Apple Silicon natively supported on macOS. ARM64 Linux is planned.

OPAL itself: 300–500 MB RAM ·
Building O3DE: see O3DE’s own requirements (16 GB+ recommended).
